Dr. Angelia Paschal
Dr. Paschal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Science at UA and coordinator for the M.A. Health Studies campus program. Dr. Paschal conducts research in health education & promotion on topics pertaining to minority health, rural disadvantaged communities, and access to care. She uses community-based participatory research (CBPR) methods in much of her work. Her research includes health and health-related assessments, qualitative research projects, epidemiologic studies, and the design, implementation, & evaluation of health interventions. Her most recent research has focused on food insecurity issues and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease among elderly populations in rural communities.
